The Founder of S A Seychelles Travel and Tours, Dr Maureen Tong, is a South African who has travelled several times to Seychelles doing archival research for her doctoral studies thereby acquiring a good understanding of the country and its people. She developed a strong social network in Seychelles.

Dr Maureen Tong studied in both Sweden and France, which allowed her to travel extensively. Her research for her doctoral studies led her to also travel to Mauritius, the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, Spain, much of Europe and Africa.

Dr Tong participated as a member of the African Tourism Board (ATB) in 2020. She currently Serves as the Chairperson of the Sports, Wellness and Spiritual Tourism Forum of the African Tourism Council (ATC) since January 2022. She therefore has a good understanding of the Travel and Tourism needs of the African continent and beyond.

She is a credentialled coach with many years of experience running seminars, workshops, and conferences for participants from several countries.
